Audit/Tax Manager

The Audit/Tax Manager is responsible for all phases of audit and tax projects and engagement management for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries. Responsibilities include planning, directing, and completing audits; reviewing all types of tax returns and conducting tax research; developing and managing staff; and reviewing financial statements and related technical accounting issues. The Manager works closely with partners and staff on client management, practice development, and business development. The Manager is responsible for an assigned group of clients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage, direct, and monitor client services teams on multiple engagements; plan, execute,
  direct, and complete external audits in a wide variety of industries; and manage to budget.
• Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on projects and assess performance for engagement
  and year-end reviews.
• Conduct primary and secondary review of complex tax returns including Corporate, S-Corporate,
  Partnership and Individual clients.
• Perform quality audit reviews on financial statements and tax-related issues.
• Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, make
  sure deadlines are met, and lead change efforts effectively.
• Work closely with partners, managers, and staff to integrate practice development skills
  into a team approach to client service and new business development.
• Team with partners and senior managers on proposals and business development calls.
• Maintain strong client relations and cross-sell services within the assigned group of clients.
• Perform other job-related duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a CPA. Masters in Taxation a plus.
• Five to seven years of audit and tax experience in public accounting or equivalent.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including proficiency in US GAAP, GAAS,
  and PCAOB rules and standards.
• Experience in Corporate, S-Corporate and/or Partnership returns.
• Ability to manage and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop
  and maintain outstanding client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities.
• Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites.
