Paul Venokur
Principal
Experience
Paul Venokur has more than 38 years experience in both public accounting and the private sector.
He brings to his clients the unique combination of having sat on both sides of the financial table, both as a public accountant and a chief financial officer.
Paul specializes in expatriate tax for Americans living abroad and non-immigrant aliens living in the United States. His understanding of both corporate and personal concerns of taxation gives him a different perspective on this complex aspect of international business. This practical experience in a variety of international tax environments distinguishes him in the accounting profession. Since his goal is to optimize results rather than mass-produce tax returns, he is able to devise solutions that best suit the needs of all parties involved in the expatriate experience.
Paul sits on the Board of Directors of a German Software Company.
Paul began his career in public accounting. He then spent more than 20 years in the private sector before returning to public accounting and starting his own firm, Venokur & Co., in 1988. He was joined by his son Adam Venokur in 2001, and merged his firm with Tarlow & Co. in January 2005.
